Six Breaths per Minute is an ongoing series of portraits captured with a self made pinhole camera. The portraits are of people I have met and had meaningful interaction with and are generally site specific. In a world of instant imaging and sharing it is refreshing to slow the process down, to practice slow photography as it were. The exposures are slow, generally taking anywhere from 2 to 10 minutes to complete. I allow the sitters to join me in the darkroom as I develop the paper negatives so that they may experience the magic of photography first hand.
